vi.papers ("we", "us") operates vipapers.com, a directory of Wallpaper Engine wallpapers. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site and how it is used. vi.papers has no user accounts, sign-ups, or comment forms, so we do not ask you for personal information.

Information we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the referring website, approximate location (country or city), device, and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors. This information is reported to us in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally. Security and performance

The site is delivered through Cloudflare and hosted on DigitalOcean. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie (such as __cf_bm) to protect the site from bots and abuse. Like most websites, our servers and providers automatically record standard request information, including IP address, user agent, requested URL, and time of request, for security, troubleshooting, and to keep the service running.

Wallpaper and Steam data

Wallpaper information and statistics shown on the site (such as subscriber counts and ratings) come from public Steam Workshop data. We do not collect any information about your Steam account. Links to Steam Workshop take you to Steam, which is governed by Valve's Privacy Policy.

How we use information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will continue to work. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party services

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may process it in countries other than your own.

Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes described above.

Because we do not maintain user accounts, most data we hold cannot be linked to you, but you can contact us with any request and we will respond as required by law.
